SIFE AUT wins 3rd year running

On 18 July 2009, SIFE AUT did it again. In front of a host of local business judges, parents, friends, community and supporters the 2009 SIFE AUT team won the national SIFE competition held at KPMG offices in Auckland. Led by Mark Le Fevre and Helene Wilkinson, the seven strong team presented a flawless summary of five of the main projects they have been working on over the past 12 months. "To make university students more employable"
Pro-Activ is all about giving tertiary students the opportunity to develop their employability. This is done through a SIFE AUT programme inviting executive guest speakers from a broad range of industrial backgrounds speaking about ethics, presentation skills, CV writing, interview skills, entrepreneurship and personal appearance. Once the seminars have been completed, the students will be able to put into practice their newly developed skills.The series is then followed with mock interviews held between recruiting specialist and students, to practice the knowledge gained in the presentations.
