SIFE AUT wins 3rd year running

On 18 July 2009, SIFE AUT did it again. In front of a host of local business judges, parents, friends, community and supporters the 2009 SIFE AUT team won the national SIFE competition held at KPMG offices in Auckland. Led by Mark Le Fevre and Helene Wilkinson, the seven strong team presented a flawless summary of five of the main projects they have been working on over the past 12 months. SIFE AUT heads to SIFE World Cup 2008 at Singapore in October. Armed with 10 community and business projects, SIFE AUT was victoriously in claiming the SIFE New Zealand trophy, earning them a trip to Singapore to experience the ultimate level of SIFE competitions – Challenging 45 other countries for the SIFE World Cup.

Roadshow: Making a Difference

On the 6th of May, a group of 9 SIFERS ran the Roadshow workshop at Pinehurst School in Albany. The Road Show project SIFERS were; Zach, Stan and Adeel. The workshop results were phenomenal. The students were eventually brainstorming concepts such as the 4 P’s of marketing, selecting the target market and how they would market selected products.
SIFE World Cup 2007!

Earlier this year SIFE AUT earned the right and honour to represent New Zealand in the annual SIFE World Cup, hosted in New York. At this competition SIFE AUT competed against 47 other SIFE teams from across the globe, for the World Cup title. During the first round we competed against Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Korea, Swaziland and Sweden. Our SIFE team provided a superb performance that saw us proceed to the Semi-final round.
