Recruitment Drive

This week we have been frantically entering classes within the business faculty of AUT building awareness of SIFE AUT. Our purpose is to generate interest amongst potential SIFE members who are looking to join the team in the 2005 New Year. SIFE AUT is looking to expand to 70 students by semester one next year – the reason is to implement more projects and change more lives!

Visiting from Momentum, Andrea spoke to SIFE AUT on leadership. First and foremost she spoke on the importance of having the Desire, the Discipline, and the Drive. Our group of students were privileged to have such a highly respected business professional provide her insight. Our inspired students have benefited greatly from her extensive knowledge and experience.
Budding Entrepreneurs

Congratulations to the Marketeers Unlimited Team for implementing the project this week. The first set of workshops have been a success and the enthusiasm of the Howick College students has made the project teams hard work all worthwhile.

New VP of Projects

Kate joined SIFE AUT in July of this year. Keen to involve herself, her skills and enthusiasm in projects that change people’s lives, it was an easy decision for the executive team to give Kate a Project Team Leader role. She has taken the NETWORX project to new levels, lead her team to excel themselves and will produce effective results in the community. Ad Campaign

This week SIFE AUT launches it’s first ever internal advertising campaign. This campaign is designed to boost awareness of who we are and what we do. We are also using it as a tool to recruit more students, and ensure the team is sustainable well into the future. Dr Don Brash

SIFE AUT jumped at the opportunity to host an event with Dr Brash, in more ways than one. Not only are we providing our team with an opportunity to hear and question a long-standing champion of free enterprise, but we invited a group of secondary school students along to join the learning. “Operation Think Tank” will provide secondary school students the opportunity to hear and question one of nation’s most respected politicians.
SIFE World Champions

SIFE Global has crowned the World Champions! Congratulations to SIFE Australia. To hear that Australia is World Champion, might be hard to swallow. To be impressed with what they achieved is not. Over the 2003/2004 year, SIFE Australia’s 180 students implemented 28 community projects. The SIFE Team at Curtin University of Technology fills a business consulting role in many of its projects. In fiscal 2003-2004, the team helped launch more than 100 businesses, resulting in more than 170 jobs ...
